Simon’s Pub is pleased to announce that it shall once again be organising its hugely popular charity fundraising music festival between the 8th and 10th May 2009. The event’s beneficiaries shall be INSPIRE (The Eden & Razzett Foundation), a non-profit organisation whom, for over 20 years, has been supporting the local community with the aim of enhancing the quality of the lives of many disabled persons through a range of professional services that include therapeutic, educational, recreational and inclusive programmes. Last year’s edition raised more than € 5,000 for The Eden Foundation, thanks to all of those supportive people who in some way or another participated. Pub owner, Simon Tonna and his wife have been working tirelessly these past months making the final preparations to an already successful yearly festival. This year`s event shall include a number of popular local performers, including Exclipit, Mute, Falcon, Red House Blues, Shilloo`s tree, Relick, Uncharted, Eve Ransom, Julian Casha, Jessica, Pitch 99, Glass House, George & Michael, Errol & Johann, Fiona, Kartridge, Thymth, Sigo & the Phlaparoos, amongst others, whilst the foreign acts are Richard Murray and Rob Reynolds. The live performances over the three days shall be as follows; Friday 8th May between 8pm and 11pm, Saturday 9th May between 8pm and 11pm and Sunday 10th May between 2pm and 11pm. INSPIRE, together with Simon Tonna, therefore wish to take this opportunity to invite you to Simon’s Pub in Depiro Street, Sliema and urge you to support your local community.
